Terms And Conditions

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions that apply to our services as a provider of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through face-to-face, videoconferencing, and telephone.

Before becoming a new client, you must carefully read these terms and conditions. Acceptance of these terms and conditions for the services we provide results in the formation of a legally enforceable contract under UK law. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any moment. The new terms will be effective as soon as they are posted on the Internet. It is your obligation to keep an eye out for new or changed terms and conditions. We will not inform you if this happens.

1. We do not provide services to children. To begin counselling at Power Selling UK Online Counselling Services, you must be at least 18 years old (Online Therapy CBT).

2. Falsifying information during the registration, evaluation, or treatment process, such as your mental history, age, suicidal thoughts, or self-harming behavioural patterns, will result in the removal of our services. We will not be liable to any individual for any loss, damage, expenditures, litigation, claims, or charges resulting from the omission or misstatement of key information.

3. We are not responsible for any breaches in security or privacy that may occur as a result of the use of the internet or computer technology, such as videoconferencing, email, telephone…

4. We accept no responsibility for any virus, data loss, or interference that may harm your system or our website.

5. Either of us may end this contract by giving the other 24 hours written notice.

6. You accept that the Intellectual Property Rights of any third-party paperwork given for the purpose of therapy, such as inventories or questionnaires, belong to the copyright holder. They must not be copied, posted on the Internet, or shared with anyone else. You will be held accountable for the copyright holder’s damages, and our services will be terminated.

7. You agree that our counselling sessions are private (both ways). Power Selling UK Counselling Services (Online Therapy CBT) owns the rights to recordings of audio or video materials made when a client requests it, and you may not adjust, copy, distribute, reproduce, licence, transmit, publicise, perform, create derivate materials from, handover, or sell any information gained through the therapy process, including the website content for which we offer our services. You may also utilise those resources for the intended purpose, such as session review or the preparation of home lectures.

8. You agree to take the 14-item screening questionnaire to see whether you are a good candidate for CBT therapy online. Failure to meet any of the 14 requirements disqualifies you from receiving our services. If you arrange an appointment and pay the costs, but your test results reveal that you are inappropriate, you will not be refunded. When requested, it is your obligation to be truthful and accurate.

9. My therapist and I have agreed to keep any information communicated or divulged by email, videoconferencing, or telephone strictly secret. Because my therapist will not share any information about me with a third party, I will not divulge anything we may have discussed in therapy to a third party, utilise any audio/video recordings to show other people, or publish them to the Internet. In terms of what we disclose, our confidentiality policy applies equally to the therapist and to me. I shall NOT share or broadcast any audio/video footage created during my sessions to a third party. I intend to use the resources only for my own personal purposes. Breaching this requirement would not only be a violation of this confidentiality policy, but it would also render me accountable for any copyright infringement-related punishment. Power Selling UK Counselling Services owns all therapeutic materials, including any sessions that are videotaped (Online therapy CBT).

There are just three confidentiality restrictions that apply to every psychotherapy practise:

  •  If my therapist believes that I am in urgent and substantial personal risk, which may jeopardise my safety during treatment.
  •  If I reveal information regarding having harmed a third person, such as physical violence to my own children,
  •  If I admit to committing a crime punishable by law within the jurisdiction of Power Selling UK (Online Therapy CBT), they will supply their services (UK). In any of these circumstances, my therapist will notify the relevant authorities, such as your doctor or any other suitable person, if he or she believes that action is required.

10. I am aware that any claims or disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Northern Ireland Courts.

11. Any psychotherapist who provides online treatment must follow the BABCP Standards of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics.

12. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and secret (e.g. username and password). You are not permitted to expose your passwords to a third party.

13. Power Selling UK Counselling Online Services cannot guarantee the correctness or dependability of the information or resources utilised in the service.

14. You acknowledge that online treatment does not offer emergency services and that the contract will be terminated if a client becomes suicidal (even if he or she was not at the time of screening) in order to allow the provision of local assistance and therapy in the client’s location.

15. We only provide online treatment sessions to people who do not have insurance that covers the charges. Insurance plans are not accepted.

16. You agree to pay prior to the start of the session. Any session agreed upon with your therapist, for example, by email that is not completed through the online system will be invalid, and no therapy will be delivered.

17. This website is copyright protected. Power Selling UK Counselling Services/Online Therapy CBT publishes it (Sylvia Buet). It is made accessible to you on the following conditions (which apply to the entire site or any portion of it):
